Recorders
MICRO‑AIDE has recently introduced the B-family of Event Recorders. Each device shares all of the capabilities of its A-model counterpart. The number of Digital, Analog, Virtual and Timer Inputs is equal to or greater. The same is true of Event Record memory capacities. The major difference is that each B-model device supports a browser-based user interface. Third-party terminal emulator applications are no longer required. Instead, a typical PC browser application is used. Dual Ethernet Ports are included, as are the MICRO‑AIDE Crossing Alarm Reporter (CAR) features.
Event
Recording
Devices
MICRO‑AIDE's Event Recorder product line extends from the CRD‑14A, equipped with 10 Digital Inputs, to the CWR‑264A and CWR‑272A, each with 256 Digital Inputs. Every recorder also includes multiple Analog Inputs and programmable Virtual and Timer Inputs. An extensive range of capacities, options and features provide the user with an optimal solution for a broad set of crossing, control point, interlocking and portable study applications.
Event
Recording
Systems
The CWR‑264AX is a modular and completely seamless Event Recording System. Every system is comprised of a CWR‑264AP which serves as a Primary Unit. Each system also includes from 1 to 16 CWR‑264AS units. The latter serve as Secondary Units. Collectively a system can be created that provides from 256 to 4096 Digital Inputs, in increments of 256. Analog, Virtual and Timer Inputs are also supported. Additionally, all of the features found in other MICRO‑AIDE Event Recorders are provided in the CWR‑264AX.
Crossing
Alarm
Reporters
As their name implies, a Crossing Alarm Reporter (CAR) is designed to continuosly monitor grade crossing performance. MICRO‑AIDE CARs report a broad range of crossing anomalies in real-time. They do so by utilizing an external cell modem and the customer's VPN. They report messages to a customer-controlled server. A user-programmed Alarm Table is used to independently report gate up, gate down, approach time, low battery, and various other issues.
Data
Loggers
Our Data Loggers are very similar to our Event Recorders. However, they differ in one major regard. The Digital Inputs of a VDL are not physically connected to relay contacts. Instead, each VDL includes a serial port that connects directly to the PLC. Using appropriate protocols, the VDL monitors the data link, then detects, reports and logs to memory bit transitions in the form of Event Records. Hundreds of wired connections can be avoided in the process.
Ancillary
Devices
Various current and voltage monitoring devices comprise the ancillary product family. In most cases the output from each device can be connected to spare Digital Inputs of an Event Recorder or CAR unit. In this way, time stamped records of an anomaly can be reported. However, each device can also be used in a standalone capacity.
Graphical
Software
MICRO‑AIDE's Graphical Event Analyzer (GEA) software can be used to poll, save and plot Event Record data from every MICRO‑AIDE CWR or VDL product. Additionally, up to 40 inputs can be plotted in real-time. GEA can serve as an invaluable aid in analyzing signal-related failures and maintenance issues. It can be installed on any PC running Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 10. It supports comm, modem and Ethernet connections.
