Our History
MICRO‑AIDE is located in Southern California in the City of Covina. We were founded in 1981. Since our earliest days MICRO‑AIDE has addressed the needs of the industrial-grade electronics market.
Our first product line was comprised exclusively of STD Bus printed circuit boards. MICRO‑AIDE STD Bus PCBs were, and continue to be, used in many industrial control applications involving manufacturing, processing, measurement and data collection.
By the mid-1980s our STD Bus PCBs were being used by customers to create specialized products for the highway and railroad industries. The first STD Bus-based Local Control Units and Event Recorders used MICRO‑AIDE PCBs. MICRO‑AIDE would eventually offer its own complete assemblies. Thus was born the LCU and Model 48 Event Recorder.
